Government offices in Málaga

The offices that actually handle your procedures, taken from official government and municipal sources. Your NIE and your registration are separate procedures and can be handled in different places.

NIE

Polic\u00eda Nacional / Oficina de Extranjer\u00eda

Living in Málaga, the practical part

Remote workers, technology employees, families and retirees across the city and the Costa del Sol.

Empadronamiento

The Ayuntamiento de Málaga handles registration through its citizen offices. Surrounding Costa del Sol municipalities such as Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, Mijas and Marbella each publish their own requirements.

Decided by Ayuntamiento de Málaga.

Local and regional taxes

IVTM and IBI are municipal, while the Junta de Andalucía sets transfer tax on property.

Agencia Tributaria (AEAT)

Schools

Public schooling is in Spanish, and the coast has a wide choice of British and international schools. Places are allocated regionally with weight on your address.

Healthcare

Servicio Andaluz de Salud assigns your health centre once you are registered and entitled to cover.

Seguridad Social (INSS)

Housing

Demand in the city has risen sharply, and landlords generally want a NIE, proof of income and a deposit plus guarantee.

Banking

International clients are routine here, and a NIE remains the requirement for a resident account.

Utilities

Water is supplied by the municipal company EMASA in the city, with different suppliers in the surrounding towns.

Getting around

Metro, city buses and the Cercanías line along the coast connect Málaga with the airport and the western Costa del Sol.

Moving with family

Register the whole household so that school and healthcare applications use the same address.

    We determine what you need

We work out which procedures actually apply to your household.

    Upload your documents

One secure place, shared household documents only once.

Why people trust us

We do not publish reviews we have not received. Until verified reviews are collected, here is what you can hold us to instead. (Málaga)

Fixed price, shown before you pay

You see our fee, the government fee and any third party cost before you commit. No hourly billing, no surprises afterwards.

Avoid a rejected appointment

A missing signature or wrong document can mean a second appointment, weeks of delay, or another trip to Spain. A human checks everything before it reaches an official desk.

Updates in your own language

Status updates by email and WhatsApp in English, Dutch, German or Spanish, at every step of your application.

We say what we cannot do

We prepare, check and guide. We are not a law firm and we cannot attend an appointment in your place, and we tell you that up front.

Fixed pricing, no hidden fees
