Can I register with a seasonal rental contract?+
Often not. Ibiza town halls check housing evidence carefully, and a tourist or short seasonal contract is usually refused. We tell you before your appointment whether your document will be accepted.
Where is the NIE application submitted in Ibiza?+
At Oficina de Extranjería, Ibiza. The appointment is booked through the official government system and you attend in person, or someone with a power of attorney attends for you.
Is the NIE the same as registering as an EU resident?+
No. The NIE is an identification number. EU citizens staying longer than three months also need the Certificate of Registration of EU Citizen, which is a separate procedure.
